The past few days have been so much fun. Sunday we went to Salt Pond and played in a kiddie pool with lots of new friends. Kobe was so determined to swim face down and put other kids' toes in his mouth. He also seemed to be quite the water toy bully. Surprise surprise...
We went to a cupcake party at Aunty Kelly's house and played with all the girls. And today was Kobe's trial run at Tutu and me preschool. He was beside himself with the singing, kids, water toys, and the special guests of the day: the Hanapepe Firefighters and their brand new truck. He got to go in the truck and see the water hose spray. I guess watching mommy do laundry isn't gonna cut it anymore.

Love-A-Dog Day
Today was the annual dog fair at the Kauai Humane Society, and as usual, we showed up ready to dominate the competition. After going through the dog wash, Buddy and Madison got their game on in the high jump, trick contest, relay race, and bobbing for hot dogs. Madison defended her title as Best Trick Grand Champion for the 3rd time (as the catcher) and Buddy came in 4th in best trick (jumping and rolling for chicken treats), high jump and hot dog eating. Not bad for 9-year-olds! Our good dogs were rewarded with massages and frozen yogurt.

Sandy Weekend

Sunday was Tutu's (Olin's gradmother's) funeral. Her entire family celebrated her life together as her ashes were spread at Mahaulepu Beach at sunrise.
Auntie Barbara says a blessing.
Some watch from the beach and throw plumeria flowers.
Buddy and Madison got to camp out at the beach.
And Kobe got to spend most of the day napping in the breeze.
